The branch of knowledge has come from Rishi Parashar, who is also known as the father of Vedic Astrology. He shared the fundamentals of Vedic Astrology in his scripture Brihat Parashar Hora Shastra, which is the very first authoritative book on Vedic astrology.
It is another popular approach of Vedic astrology where more importance is given to the versatile roles of the planets. The principles of Jamini Astrology have been laid down by Rishi Jaimini in his book Jaimin Sutras.
Invented by K. S. Krishnamoorti, popularly knowns as KP, the branch of astrology studies the certainty of an event based on Nakshatras.
Commonly called Prashna kundali, this unique branch of astrology does not study the birth chart of an individual to arrive at astrological conclusions. Instead, it looks at the chart of a question (posed by an individual) itself for predictions and solutions.
Considered a more precise branch of astrology, Nakshatra Nadi astrology is based on nakshatras. A nakshatra is a group of many stars. To judge the location of a planet precisely, a nakshatra is further divided into 9 unequal parts. Nakshatra astrology takes into account these minute calculations for astrological readings.
